Agriculture and allied sectors, is the largest source of livelihoods in India. 70% of its rural households still depend primarily on agriculture for their livelihood. This sector contributes to 17% of nation's GDP
PROBLEM:
Among the rural population 78% of women are directly involved in agriculture however they own only 12.8% of agricultural land. Women tend to own fewer livestocks, have less access to agri-input and critical agricultural services when compared to their male counterpart.

SOLUTION:
1. Model creation for incentivising through livestock management
2. Getting associated with FPOs to increase bargaining power, market linkage and access to agri-inputs
3. Promotion of digital technology by extension work
4. Formation of SHGs aimed at marketing of value added products
BENEFIT TO INDIAN AGRICULTURE IF THIS INEQUITY IS ADDRESSED-
FAO’s report estimated that if women were to have the same access to productive resources as men, they would increase the yields on their farms by 20-30% and this would end up adding 2.5- 4% to the total agricultural output in developing countries.
We must bring this section of agriculture workforce into light which often remains unheard, undeserved, unrecognized
